Christina Dong
Pilates Instructor | BASI Certified
Christina is a former rocket scientist (literally!), holds a B.A. in physics and dance from Pomona College and is a BASI (Body Arts and Science International) 500-hour comprehensively certified Pilates instructor. Before becoming a Pilates teacher, she spent three years in the aerospace industry as an engineer launching satellites into space.
She was inspired to pursue a Pilates certification after seeing the benefits of Pilates through her own experience dealing with injuries from dance. She has seen firsthand the transformative healing power of Pilates for people managing chronic illness or injury, for older adults, and anyone looking to incorporate more movement in their life. Christina’s teaching approach is warm, nurturing, and educational. Her goal in each session is two-fold: 1) find joy in movement, and 2) help you learn something about your body.
Outside of the studio, Christina loves to read, craft, and play with her dog Missha.
